A Packed House for the Sisters Community Solar Neighborhood Meeting

What a wonderful night at St. Mary’s Academy! Neighbors of the Sisters Community Solar site and St. Mary’s Academy families filled the gym to learn more about the project taking shape right behind the school.

Student Ambassadors helped attendees request subscriptions and learn more about Sisters Community Solar.

St. Mary’s Academy and the Sisters of the Holy Family welcomed the community and shared their excitement about the project. Neighbors and St. Mary’s families had a chance to hear more about New Orleans’ first community solar project, ask questions, and learn about subscriptions being reserved for neighbors who live closest to the project site.

The energy in the room reflected what makes this project so special: the Sisters, the school, neighbors, and community members coming together around a project rooted in New Orleans East.
